This is in many ways the female version of the Kouros posted yesterday. Both differences and similarities surface as you see; it isn't nude, but the pose is still strictly frontal and the face is similar. I have unfortunately no exact date fot this piece but it should be from around 540 BC.

This is a most charming young lady. Is she holding something in her left hand, like a pine cone or something else cylindrical? Or a spindle for making threads?
It's normally (and very vaguely) described as "a gift" but I've also heard pomegranate being suggested, I'm not sure that we really know for sure. It's very uncommon to even find the left arm (as it's usually in a 90 degree angle to the body and worked separately) since it's almost always lost.
